Jaguar Refuses Rental While I Wait Months for I Pace Battery

My 2019 Jaguar I-Pace, which has an 8-year battery warranty, is experiencing a serious battery problem. The battery has failed and is currently at the Borusan authorized service center in Vadi, Istanbul. Upon examination, they determined that three different battery modules were faulty and needed to be replaced. When I asked the service center how long the repair would take, they said it would be approximately one to two months. During this period, my request for a replacement (rental) vehicle to address my concerns was rejected by Borusan because they didn't have any available vehicles. It's unacceptable for a premium brand like Jaguar to treat its customer, whose vehicle is currently in the service center for a critical warranty issue, in this manner. However, Jaguar Turkey's customer service is in an even worse state, and they haven't even provided me with a proper response. I'm simply being told they submitted a request. My urgent request from Borusan and Jaguar Türkiye is as follows: * I will be provided with an equivalent replacement vehicle until my vehicle's repairs are completed. * I will be kept clearly and transparently informed about my vehicle's repair process. If these basic expectations are not met, I hereby declare that I will exercise all my legal rights, starting with the Consumer Arbitration Board, to the fullest extent of my rights as soon as the legal deadlines expire.

Regarding the process of obtaining a guaranteed part for my Jaguar I-Pace with license plate 10ARM380, I submitted a request via email to Borusan Oto Corporate Customer Services about the issue I have been experiencing since July 3, 2025. However, I have not received any official or written explanation for about a week.

Although I have spoken with and emailed the branch, the branch officials stated that the necessary authority is at the headquarters and the solution will be provided from there. However, I am unable to communicate with the headquarters and I am not receiving any response to the emails I have sent. I have never experienced such an issue before.

Since my vehicle’s part warranty is still valid, I request a written and clear explanation regarding the supply of the guaranteed part, a replacement vehicle, and my official rights. I am waiting for your assistance to resolve my issue.

Borusan Oto contacted me, but my request was not resolved. They said they are not obliged to provide a replacement vehicle and that it is not within their responsibility. There was also no call from Jaguar Turkey. I guess by buying a Jaguar, we become the ones to blame for them taking 1-2 months to bring a car part. As soon as the car repair is finished, I will put it up for sale. Passing by this brand again? :)
