iPhone Locked Me Out After Forgotten Password and Touch ID Failure

29

As a long-time iPhone user, I’ve always relied on Touch ID for secure access. Recently, the phone requested a password update, which I completed but didn’t pay much attention to since I primarily use Touch ID. My spouse mistakenly entered the wrong password several times, and now the phone won’t accept my Touch ID.

I don’t remember the updated password, and I’m left with only one attempt before losing all the data on my device. I’ve contacted Apple Support twice and researched other solutions, but I’ve been told there’s nothing that can be done unless I recall the password. Resetting the device and losing my data is not an acceptable solution.

I urge Apple to offer alternative security options or assist me in recovering access to my phone without wiping my data. If this issue isn’t resolved, I’ll never use or recommend iPhone again.
