Apple Refused to Replace My Faulty iPhone 16 After 2.5 Months
I purchased an iPhone 16 from Hepsiburada on February 26, 2025, and received it on March 1. Within just 2.5 months, the device started freezing, randomly shutting down and restarting. During updates and restores, it shows an “unknown error (9).” I took it to the Zorlu Apple Store, where the service team diagnosed a motherboard failure. Despite no user damage or cosmetic issues, Apple only offered repair and stated they don’t replace even one-day-old devices. This contradicts consumer law, which classifies a hardware defect within 2.5 months as grounds for replacement or refund. I’ve filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board and started legal proceedings. I expect Apple to respect consumer rights and replace my device free of charge. I will pursue all legal options if needed.
