Amazon UK Account Blocked After Fraudulent USA Account Activity
I am a UK resident and have never been to the USA. Despite this, an Amazon USA account was somehow created or used in my name and my bank details were used there to place orders without my knowledge or consent. My bank has treated this as fraud, refunded the money and their fraud team is now investigating. Following this, I did everything I was instructed to do: I changed my Amazon password and removed my bank card from the account, and my bank also cancelled that card. I now have a new bank card, but I am unable to use my normal Amazon UK account because the system keeps trying to move me to the USA version and tells me to change countries. I need Amazon to close or completely remove any USA account or USA settings associated with my details, and to restore full access to my Amazon UK account so that I can safely add my new bank card and start ordering again. None of this situation is my fault and it has caused me a great deal of stress and wasted time, as I have gone through this process multiple times already. When I try to contact Amazon by phone, the numbers are not recognised, and when I try to use alternative support routes, I am blocked by two‑way authentication that simply does not work for me. I have received many authentication codes, but they do not resolve the problem and I remain locked in a loop. I request urgent action to remove the fraudulent USA element from my profile, ensure there are no unauthorised accounts or charges in my name, restore normal access to my Amazon UK account, and provide a working contact method so that this can finally be resolved.
