Poor IKEA Customer Service And Defective Products




I recently purchased a bunk bed from IKEA and upon assembling it, I noticed that some of the parts were misaligned and one piece was cracked. When I contacted IKEA, they informed me that since I hadn't opted for their delivery service, I would have to transport the product myself. It's disappointing that the bed was packaged without undergoing proper quality control, as the crooked parts and obvious cracks should have been identified at the factory. Now, as a penalty for not choosing IKEA's delivery service, I'm expected to rectify their mistake using my own time and fuel. Although I've made several purchases from IKEA recently, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I don't think I'll be shopping there again. I will also be sending an email to IKEA headquarters to address this matter. Please see the attached photos for reference.
