IKEA Did Not Let Me In With My Dog Despite Pet Policy
On June 16, 2025, around 9:00 PM, when I tried to enter the IKEA Ümraniye store, the security guard at the X-ray area stopped me and said I couldn’t enter the store with my dog in my arms. He told me that I could only bring my dog into the store, which sells pet products and claims to be pet-friendly, if I carried it in a pet carrier—as if my dog were just an object. It’s the year 2025, and I’ve never seen anything so absurd. My dog is like my child, and is quieter and more well-behaved than many people's kids, even visually impaired. This behavior deeply upset and angered me.
