I Booked Chloe Hotel Alaçatı on Hotels App but Was Forced to Pay Early or Face Cancellation

I made a pay-at-property reservation for Chloe Hotel Alaçatı through the Hotels app for the holiday period. The reservation clearly stated that payment would be made at the hotel during check-in. However, just two weeks before the stay, I received a call from the hotel insisting that I pay in advance or they would cancel my booking.

This is completely unacceptable. The entire reason I chose this option was to pay upon arrival. Forcing early payment completely violates the terms of the reservation and causes unnecessary stress. Worse yet, neither Hotels customer support nor the hotel owner are offering any real help or taking responsibility.

I feel trapped and misled. If the hotel wants prepayment, they should not offer a pay-at-property option. Hotels should ensure their listed accommodations follow the booking terms, or remove them from the platform. I request that Hotels intervene immediately, enforce the original reservation terms, and protect me from cancellation. Otherwise, I will have to escalate this further.
