Gucci Sunglasses Break After 35 Days and Replacement Is Delayed

I purchased a pair of Gucci sunglasses from the Göz Group Optik store at Akasya AVM. Approximately 35 days after purchasing the sunglasses, on August 10, 2026, a component on the temple suddenly broke off on its own. I was extremely disappointed to experience such a problem with a product in this price range, which cost approximately $289.

When I went to the store to report the problem, the employees repeatedly emphasized that the product had been purchased at a discounted price and initially told me that there was nothing they could do. After I objected, they then said that they could send the sunglasses in for inspection. I explained that I did not accept a repair for a product at this price level, that I considered it a defective product, and that they should provide an appropriate solution rather than simply repairing it. Despite having the exact same model in stock, they insisted that my sunglasses had to be sent for inspection and stated that I would receive a response within one week at the latest.

When I called the store myself after one week, I was then told that the process could take up to four weeks. The employee on the phone ended the conversation in a very condescending manner. Today, even though four weeks have now passed, no one has contacted me and I have not received any information whatsoever regarding the status of my case.

I do not accept a repair option for a product that developed a serious problem within such a short period of time and that I believe has a manufacturing defect. Under the circumstances, I request that my sunglasses be replaced with a brand-new pair of the exact same model or that the full amount I paid be refunded. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly without any further unnecessary delay.
