AirAsia Flight Canceled but GoToGate Won’t Refund Full Payment
We purchased round-trip tickets through GoToGate for an AirAsia flight from Denpasar to Singapore as part of a multi-flight booking. We paid a total of $426 for the trip. About three weeks ago, GoToGate informed us that the flight had been canceled and asked us to choose an alternative flight. We paid an additional $24 for the replacement flight. However, we were later told that we would receive only a $95 refund.
We contacted GoToGate customer service, but they provided no explanation beyond stating that this was the refund amount. The entire payment was made in one transaction by credit card about two months ago, and all correspondence about the cancellation and refund has been through email.
Despite the return flight being canceled, most of the total amount we paid has not been refunded. I request that the remaining balance be fully reimbursed to us.
