About two weeks ago, I purchased two tickets for the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel through GetYourGuide for February 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM, under reservation number GYGVN3G3BH6F. I planned my entire trip to Rome around this visit and arranged my stay accordingly. However, after purchasing the tickets, I realized that the required QR codes for entry were never sent to me.
Because I was traveling abroad, I was unable to make phone calls and could only contact them via email. Instead of offering a solution, my reservation was suddenly canceled without any proper assistance. I ended up waiting in line outside the museum for nothing. My plans were completely disrupted, and I lost an entire day of my trip due to this lack of responsibility.
I had paid $80 for the tickets, but the refund that was issued to me was only $79. Not only was I unable to enter the Vatican Museums that day, but I was also not refunded the full amount I paid, which caused both inconvenience and financial loss.
I request that the full amount I paid be refunded without any deductions, that the missing portion of the refund be corrected, and that I receive a clear explanation regarding the issue that caused my reservation to be canceled and the QR codes not to be delivered. After this experience, I no longer trust the GetYourGuide platform for making reservations, and I hope others do not experience the same issue.
