Gate.io has different fees for different types of transactions:
• Withdrawal Fees: Gate.io charges fees for taking out money coin by coin. The exact amount taken out of your most recent trade will depend on the cryptocurrency you want to take out. With most coins, the fee is charged every time you withdraw money, no matter how much you take out. It is suggested that you look at the withdrawal page in your account to find out the exact fee for the coin you want to buy.
• When you trade on Gate.io, the fees are based on a Maker-Taker fee schedule and are tier-based. The fee for makers is -0.025%, and the fee for takers is 0.075 %. If you have Points in your Gate.io account, you can get even more discounts. One Point is equal to one US dollar in fee reduction. If GT debit is turned on, you can take trading fees out of your GT balance, which is a discount on top of the standard fee percentage.
• Fees for Trading Perpetual Contracts: Gate.io also uses a Maker-Taker scheme for fees for trading perpetual contracts. Makers get -0.025% back, and takers have to pay a fee of 0.075%. Users can use Points from their contract account to lower taker fees even more. You can use points to pay for some of the taker fee. The first 0.025% is paid in bitcoin as a reward to the maker, and the next 0.05% is paid for by points.
Keep in mind that Gate.io does not charge any fees for deposits.
