I live abroad and something very serious happened to me. On October 31, more than ₺600,000 was charged to my credit card through 52 separate transactions, yet I received no call, no notification, and no email from Garanti Bank. I filed disputes, but unbelievably, only two transactions were accepted. Without my knowledge, I was suddenly left with a debt of over ₺600,000. On top of that, because I didn’t pay last month’s ₺12,000 statement, they keep sending constant SMS messages, emails, and even calling me nonstop to demand payment. While the Garanti BBVA app requires approval even for small purchases of ₺200–₺300 whether I’m in Turkey or abroad, somehow 52 unauthorized transactions were made without any notification reaching me. Most of my disputes were rejected as well. I will exercise all my legal rights, and Garanti BBVA is responsible for resolving this issue and refunding my money.
