Dyson V10 Main Cleaning Head Broken Poor Customer Service
The main cleaning head of my Dyson V10 vacuum has broken. Although the product is no longer under warranty, I believe that even if it were, Dyson would still classify this as “user error” and refuse assistance—just as they did with another part I had replaced before. At that time, I accepted the explanation because the broken part was just an accessory and did not affect the vacuum’s overall functionality.
This time, however, the situation is very different. Without the main cleaning head, the vacuum cannot function at all, and I find it unreasonable for Dyson to treat such a critical component as an “accessory.”
When I contacted customer service, I kept receiving the same scripted responses and was given no real solution. Without even inspecting the product, they told me that repair was not an option and that I would simply need to buy a new head. The lack of proper after-sales service and support has left me very disappointed and has even led me to stop recommending Dyson products to people around me.
I request that my main cleaning head be repaired and that Dyson improve the quality of its after-sales service so customers are not left unsupported in such situations.
