Toyota Delivered New C-HR Without First Aid Kit or Fire Extinguisher
On January 19, 2026, I purchased a brand-new Toyota C-HR from a Toyota dealership in Istanbul. When I took delivery of the vehicle, I noticed that it did not include either a first aid kit or a fire extinguisher.
When I contacted Toyota customer service about this issue, I was informed that there is no such provision with the vehicle and that a first aid kit and fire extinguisher are not included. On the very day we took delivery of the car, we drove to Bolu for a long trip. During the journey, I seriously questioned what we would do in the event of a fire or an accident if we needed emergency first aid supplies.
For a vehicle sold above market price by a brand known for reliability and quality, I was both surprised and disappointed that such basic yet life-saving equipment was not included. I have purchased many brand-new vehicles before, and this is the first time I have encountered one without a first aid kit or fire extinguisher.
I do not believe that a cost-cutting policy of this nature reflects well on a company like Toyota. I request that a first aid kit and fire extinguisher be provided to me free of charge for my vehicle, and that customers be clearly and transparently informed about what safety equipment is or is not included at the time of purchase.
