However, this explanation doesn't add up. The wear is higher up than where typical friction occurs, suggesting a manufacturing defect rather than normal use. I feel the company is being dishonest in their assessment.
I urge potential customers to think twice before purchasing from DS Damat. I expect they'll respond with a generic, copy-pasted message to close the matter without addressing my concerns. There's been no attempt at communication or apology from their end.
