Dell Inspiron 5490 Laptop Hinge Stock Issue
The hinge of my Dell laptop is broken. As a long-time user of laptops, I am familiar with the usual process of opening and closing such a device. When I called Dell customer service, I was informed that the required hinge was not in stock. Instead, they could assist me with 270 ₺ plus tax. However, shouldn't the company have spare parts for their sold products readily available? It seems disproportionate that they are attempting not to sell me a 250-300 ₺ item by claiming it is out of stock and instead trying to sell a 270 ₺ set.
If a part of my car is defective, do I have to buy the entire engine? I am only concerned about the hinge, but how can they offer me a complete set for 270 ₺ just because the hinge is not in stock? Do you have legal knowledge in this matter? According to consumer protection laws, they should also keep spare parts for the products they sell.
