My Columbia Waterproof Boots Leaked on First Use and Review Took Over 2 Months

On June 9, 2024, I purchased three pairs of Columbia waterproof boots from the Capacity Mall location, intending them for winter use. My son wore one pair for the very first time on a rainy school day in early January, only to come home with soaked feet.
On January 16, 2025, I returned the boots to the store for inspection. I was told the process would take 15 days, but I received no updates for 65 days. After visiting the store three times, I was finally informed that the inspection had just been completed—and my claim was rejected.
They claimed the issue was not caused by a material defect, despite the boots being visibly intact and worn only once. I now feel completely let down by a brand I trusted for quality and reliability.
My frustrations:
The boots leaked on first use, despite being labeled waterproof.
There were no signs of wear or damage.
The inspection took 65 days instead of the promised 15, with zero communication.
I was forced to buy new boots and left without a solution the entire winter.
I demand either a full refund or a product exchange.
