I purchased a Clinique foundation from Boyner, expecting a high-quality product that would be gentle on my skin. Along with the foundation, I also bought a Clinique moisturizer. Shortly after using both, I developed severe redness and a rash across my face. I initially assumed the moisturizer was the issue, so I threw it away.
However, the irritation continued. I stopped using the foundation and switched to another brand for two weeks—my skin immediately improved. When I returned the foundation to Boyner, they sent it for inspection. Two weeks later, the response was that the product was fresh and contained no harmful ingredients, so they refused to offer a refund or exchange. They blamed the reaction on “other causes.”
Still trying to believe in the brand, I gave the foundation another try. After only three days, the same skin reaction returned—redness, burning, and flaking. I contacted Clinique directly, but their response was also dismissive.
I’m incredibly disappointed. As someone who makes an effort to buy clean, dermatologist-trusted products—often at a high cost—it’s frustrating and unfair to be dismissed when something clearly went wrong. I expected support, not denial, from a global brand like Clinique.
I’m asking Clinique to take responsibility and provide a proper solution for sensitive customers like myself. The way this was handled was unacceptable and has shaken my trust in the brand.
