I purchased the Clinique All About Eyes under-eye cream and moisturizer set from Sephora at Izmir Forum Bornova, trusting the brand’s claim that the product was suitable for sensitive skin. Unfortunately, this turned out to be far from true.
After just one use, I experienced a severe allergic reaction—intense redness, swelling, itching, and breakouts under my eyes and across my face. The reaction was so bad that I had to seek medical attention, and my doctor immediately put me on medication. I have the condition officially documented with a medical report.
While Sephora accepted the return and processed a refund after product testing, that does nothing to undo the physical discomfort and emotional distress this product caused me. My trust in Clinique has been severely damaged.
It’s completely unacceptable for a product marketed as “safe for sensitive skin” to trigger such extreme reactions. I urge Clinique to re-evaluate the formulation of this cream and conduct thorough testing to ensure it truly is suitable for those with sensitive skin. At the very least, the labeling must be honest and not misleading.
I’m sharing this so others don’t suffer the same harm. Sephora and Clinique must take responsibility and ensure greater transparency, testing, and customer safety. This experience was painful and upsetting, and I expect acknowledgment and meaningful action—not just a refund.
