Dramatically Different and other moisturizers add moisture back to the skin, but they also contain mineral oil and lanolin alcohol, which can feel greasy without actually fixing the barrier lipids.

If your skin is more dry, red, or breaking out after years of regular use, it's likely because using alcohol-based toners or heavy occlusives over and over again broke down your barrier instead of strengthening it.
