Cleanup Phone Storage Cleaner Charged Me After a Free Trial

I downloaded the “Cleanup Phone Storage Cleaner” app through the App Store because I trusted the statement that it offered a one-week free trial. I understood that I would be able to cancel the subscription after the free trial if I did not want to continue, and that I would only be charged if I did not cancel. Therefore, I did not expect any problems.

However, I noticed through SMS notifications that charges of $12 each were repeatedly added to my mobile phone bill on July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27 through mobile billing. Although I downloaded the app only for the one-week free trial, I was repeatedly charged without my clear and informed authorization, resulting in a significant financial loss over multiple billing dates.

In an SMS from Türk Telekom, I was informed that my Apple purchases between July 1, 2026, and August 1, 2026, totaled 2,439.95 TL (approximately $50), while the refund amount was listed as 0.00 TL. I absolutely do not accept being automatically charged such a substantial amount for an app that I downloaded based on a free-trial offer, especially when no refund was provided.

I believe that the terms of these transactions processed through Apple and the relevant payment infrastructure provided by the carrier were not presented clearly or transparently and that the “free trial” wording may mislead users. I demand that the subscription initiated through this app be canceled immediately, that the full amount of 2,439.95 TL (approximately $50) recently charged to me be refunded to my mobile account/payment method, and that the necessary controls be implemented to prevent any similar charges from being made again.
