Chime Unauthorized Charges Go Unnoticed
They fixed it, but it took a year out of my life !!!! literally. After a whole year of back and forth, I finally got my $1,000 back. Online banking is supposed to be convenient, especially for someone like me who rarely leaves the house. a mysterious charge showed up on my account, it wasn't exactly a smooth fix. It took multiple calls to customer service (who weren't always that kind) before they finally, maybe, reviewed it. The whole process was a nightmare. I would call, explain the situation, and then get passed around from one representative to another. Each time, I had to re-explain the issue, and it felt like no one was really listening. And don’t get me started on the “we’ll stop it before it happens” text alerts they boast about. It’s more like a gamble on whether they’ll catch it or not. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. In my case, they didn’t, and it took forever to get it sorted out. Overall, "satisfied" wouldn’t be the word I’d use. More like cautiously optimistic... until the next surprise charge hits.
