Chime Tax Refund Held For 15 Days, Resulting in Late Fees

Chime gave me a big headache with my tax refund! I deposited the check using their phone app, they froze the money for a whole 15 days! This meant I couldn't pay my bills on time and ended up with late fees. used Chime for direct deposits before, no problem, called Chime's customer service every day for those 15 days, hoping they'd fix things. But they wouldn't budge. They wouldn't give me my money back or even cancel the deposit. It makes no sense to hold onto someone's money for that long, especially without any warning. If they had told me upfront about the hold, I would have found another way to deposit my check. Just a heads up: If you need your money fast, Chime might not be the best choice.
