We are extremely disappointed with our Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. Due to a clear manufacturing or system fault, the automatic trunk began opening on its own and ended up shattering the rear glass of the vehicle. When we took it to the authorized service center, they casually dismissed it by claiming no such problem had ever occurred before and blamed it on user error. That explanation is both illogical and unacceptable. Just because they haven't heard of this issue doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
Why is the burden of proof on us to demonstrate that it wasn’t our fault? The company should be responsible for investigating and proving otherwise before denying accountability. Furthermore, the incident wasn’t even reported to our insurance provider by the dealership, so despite our car being stuck in the service center, we’re being denied a replacement vehicle.
This is completely unacceptable. We paid a premium for this vehicle and planned a holiday, which now risks being ruined. I demand that Chery take immediate action to resolve this issue within 24 hours. If I don’t receive a prompt and fair resolution, I will escalate this matter to the highest legal and consumer protection authorities.
I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this brand. A car that malfunctions this seriously without support from the manufacturer is a major liability.
