I purchased a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Avantgarde on May 31, 2024, and recently noticed an internal crack in the rear center stop light. I reported the issue to the Konya Atsanlar Chery service center, where the personnel inspected the light and confirmed that the crack was not caused by external impact or user error. They assured me that the issue would be reported to the warranty department, and it should be covered under warranty.
However, later that day, I was informed that the warranty would not cover the replacement. I contacted Chery Turkey customer service multiple times, but I kept receiving the same response: the part would not be replaced under warranty. Despite asking for the service report detailing the issue, I was denied access to it.
I even referenced other cases of the same problem on similar vehicles, which were covered under warranty. This issue seems to be a recurring defect in Chery vehicles, as I’ve seen many complaints about cracked stop lights on Şikayetvar and social media.
I demand the replacement of the defective rear stop light under warranty. If this issue remains unresolved, I will take legal action against Chery Turkey.
