I had a reservation for 11 nights at Taksim Maria Suite Hotel from August 4th to August 15th, and this reservation was non-refundable. However, due to an issue with my tourist visa, I could not enter Turkey.
On the evening of August 4th, I contacted the hotel from my transit airport, explained the situation with my reservation, and requested a refund. This was a situation beyond my control, and I had no ability to come.
When the hotel learned about this situation and my circumstances, they did not care and did not respond to calls from me or Booking.com to grant an exception to the cancellation penalty. It was inappropriate to charge me such a high fee (500000000 TL) without me benefiting from the full accommodation or any services (equivalent in Euro).
So, the hotel deducted the full amount of my reservation for 11 nights, totaling 500 euros, from my credit card. Please help me. I have nothing against the penalty for the first night, but it should not be the full value since it was not my choice not to come.
I will attach evidence that the airline brought me back to the airport. Then I proceeded to the transit airport in Dubai.
