I Rented a Dirty, Cold House from Shortstayco.UK on Booking.com and Got No Help

I booked a property in Swindon, UK through Booking.com, managed by Shortstayco.uk, for a 17-day stay. When I arrived, I was shocked by the condition of the house. It was filthy—the dishwasher was filled with mold, and despite the listing stating that there was a washing machine, there wasn’t one in sight. Even worse, the radiators weren’t working, and the house was absolutely freezing. The photos on the listing were clearly misleading and made the place look much better than it was in reality.

I contacted Shortstayco.uk multiple times by phone and text. I was completely ignored. I was left to sleep in freezing conditions, and no one seemed to care. I also reached out to Booking.com to escalate the issue, expecting at least some assistance. But they did nothing meaningful to help either. I even requested to leave the house and get a refund for the remaining nights, but both parties refused.

This ruined what was supposed to be a peaceful trip. Booking.com and Shortstayco.uk proved to be completely unreliable and irresponsible. I demand a full refund for the misleading and unacceptable conditions I was forced to endure. No one should have to go through this experience.
