I Got Double Charged for My Osaka Hotel on Booking.com and Still Haven’t Received a Refund

While I was in Tokyo, I booked a hotel through Booking.com for my next stop in Osaka. However, the system glitched during the booking process and kicked us off the page. When we checked our card afterward, we noticed we had been charged twice for the same reservation.

Booking.com sent us an automated reply saying we’d hear back within 48 hours, but that never happened. They later emailed us asking for details like name, surname, and booking code—even though I had already provided that information in my initial message. It has now been four days, and I’ve received neither a refund nor a proper response.

This wasn’t a one-time issue either. During this month-long vacation, we booked all our hotels through Booking.com, and this is the second time a double charge has happened. We let the first one go since it was for a single night, but this is now becoming a pattern, and the lack of support is beyond frustrating.

I’m demanding an immediate refund and a sincere follow-up from Booking.com. As a loyal customer, I expect far better treatment and faster resolution. This experience has severely damaged my trust in your platform.
