Rockstar Games Must Add Official Turkish Language Support to GTA VI
This complaint serves as both a collective manifesto and a serious warning on behalf of millions of Turkish players who have felt ignored, excluded, and undervalued by Rockstar Games for years. Turkish players contribute significantly to the global gaming industry and form an exceptionally loyal community. The continued absence of Turkish language support from every Rockstar Games title, especially the GTA series, is no longer viewed as a simple business decision but as a clear form of cultural exclusion and discrimination.
Rockstar Games’ failure to include Turkish language support in any of its games, including GTA VI, does more than disregard the Turkish market and its enormous player base. It also exposes these players to serious cybersecurity risks. Because official Turkish support has been unavailable for years, Turkish players are forced to rely on unverified third-party websites offering unofficial Turkish translation patches. Thousands of young players who simply want to experience these games in their native language have infected their computers with Trojans and other malicious software through such patches. Some have lost personal data, online accounts, and even financial information, resulting in severe harm.
We believe that denying players an official, secure, and properly reviewed Turkish language option—and effectively driving them toward dangerous sources—contributes to the resulting cybersecurity incidents and data loss. The problems experienced by Turkish players are a direct consequence of Rockstar Games’ persistent refusal to provide Turkish language support.
As members of Turkey’s gaming community, we will no longer accept being undervalued, excluded, and indirectly exposed to security threats. If this discriminatory and insensitive approach continues, Turkish players will launch a collective boycott of Rockstar Games products. We will stop purchasing your games and raise international awareness of this issue through global platforms such as Reddit, X, Change.org, and similar channels.
Our demand from Rockstar Games is clear: Show Turkish players the respect they deserve, add official Turkish language support to your current and future games—especially the upcoming GTA VI—stop ignoring the Turkish gaming community, and eliminate the need for unsafe third-party translation patches. Otherwise, Rockstar Games will be demonstrating to the world that it is willing to lose this enormous market and the millions of loyal Turkish fans who have supported the company for years.
