Booking.com Refused Refund After Budget Vienna Reservation Turned Out to Be a Hostel
We booked a hotel called "Budget Vienna" through Booking.com, but upon arrival, we discovered it was actually a hostel. The moment we entered, we were met with an overwhelming stench, and the place was filthy. The room provided was tiny and entirely unfit for two people, with no regard for basic health standards.
When we approached the reception for assistance, the staff rudely told us, "If you don’t like it, leave. You won’t get your money back," and turned away. Such disrespect is unacceptable, especially in a foreign country where safety and comfort should be a priority.
We immediately contacted Booking.com, left the hostel, and found alternative accommodation. Despite clearly explaining our experience, Booking.com sided with the hostel and denied our refund. I demand immediate support and a full refund for this unacceptable situation. Booking.com needs to prioritize customer welfare over unreliable accommodations.
