On November 9, I booked a hotel in Düsseldorf through Booking.com. However, when I checked the rates again on November 11, the price had dropped by ₺5000. I took a screenshot of the new price and emailed it to Booking.com’s customer service for a price adjustment, as per their price match policy.
After waiting an entire week for a response, they rejected my claim, stating they couldn’t process the request because the screenshot showed the price in ₺ instead of Euros. When I tried to capture a new screenshot in Euros, the room was no longer available. Due to their delayed response, I ended up paying ₺5000 more for the same reservation.
To make matters worse, their customer service representative Sofia offered me only €25 as compensation, which is insulting compared to the amount I overpaid. When I requested a reevaluation, she rudely hung up the phone. Booking.com claims to have a price match policy, yet they refuse to honor it even when provided proof. Their customer service is unprofessional and disrespectful.
I demand a full refund of the price difference and will no longer use Booking.com for my reservations.
