Booking.com Refund Request - Incorrect Property Location Provided in Paris
On July 10-11, I made a reservation through Booking.com to stay near Gare du Nord in Paris. On the specified date and time, I arrived at the property location. However, the property was there, but the owner was not. I contacted the owner by phone, and he informed me that the place I was supposed to stay was actually 16 km away from the given location. I told him that I couldn't go there, especially since I booked this place to be close to Gare du Nord, and I couldn't travel that far with my two young children. He mockingly replied, 'You have a car, just go.' We also have WhatsApp messages regarding this. He told me, 'Either go there or cancel.' I pressed the cancel button and received a message stating that I would get information from the facility within 48 hours. I then went out to find a hotel and ended up paying more for accommodation. My children were very scared in this situation. Since July 12, I have sent emails every day and called customer service 20 times. Their responses were just apologies. Finally, they offered to compensate me with 20% of the amount. They couldn't reach the property owner. How can this be possible? We booked through this site because it is considered reliable worldwide. Booking.com is solely responsible here. I want a full refund. There should also be sanctions against these individuals. You have been stalling me for 20 days. If you can't reach that person, it's not my fault. You are my point of contact here.
