I made a reservation through Booking.com for December 30, 2025, at a property in London, United Kingdom, called “Hackney Central Studios No 19 Vibrant City Getaway,” with confirmation number 5891****16, and I paid £80. I booked the room as a double room. When I arrived at the property, they requested identification for the friend who was supposed to stay with me, but my friend did not have their ID.
As a result, my friend decided not to stay, and I stated that I would stay alone. Despite this, the property refused to share the room details with me and did not allow me to check in. Even though I had already paid, I was not allowed to access the room, and because of this, I was forced to spend the night on the street.
I am requesting that the £80 payment be refunded and that the hardship I experienced be taken into consideration. I also ask Booking.com to review both its own processes and the practices of its partner properties and to take the necessary steps to prevent similar situations from happening again.
