Pocket eSIM Charged $16 for an Incompatible iPhone 8

For an international trip, I purchased an unlimited eSIM package through the Pocket eSIM app for use in the Czech Republic. I later learned that my iPhone 8 does not support eSIM, but the app provided no warning about this and did not clearly inform me about device compatibility before I made the purchase.

After paying approximately $16 by credit card, I tried to install the eSIM, but nothing happened in the app. There was no error message or warning displayed on the screen. After trying repeatedly with the same result, I researched the issue and learned from other users’ reviews that the iPhone 8 does not support eSIM. If the app does not provide eSIM service for this phone model, it should have clearly warned me or prevented me from downloading the app and making a purchase on an incompatible device.

Approximately two minutes after making the purchase, I submitted a refund request both by email and through the live support channel. Since September 3, 2026, I have not received any response whatsoever. I have received neither an explanation nor a refund. I consider Pocket eSIM’s approach to this issue to be entirely focused on making money.

My ICCID number is 89353082711106386022. Since my device technically does not support the service and I was therefore unable to use the package, I request that the amount I paid be refunded as soon as possible. I also request that clear device compatibility warnings be added before purchase to prevent other customers from experiencing similar problems.
