BNP Paribas Cardif Won’t Cover Repair for My Grundig Fridge and Offers Low Gift Card

On June 26, 2021, I purchased a Grundig refrigerator and a 1+2 year Device Protection Insurance from the Media Markt Balıkesir Onburda Store. The insurance (BNP Paribas Cardif) is valid until 2025. Media Markt directed me to contact a company called "Altar Grup" for insurance-covered repairs. A Customer Representative requested an estimate from the authorized service. I sent Altar Grup the repair estimate of ₺9,745 from the Arçelik Service in Balıkesir. They promised to inform me via SMS, but I received no response. Days later, when I contacted Media Markt customer service again, they informed me that the repair couldn’t be done and declared the product irreparable. My Grundig product is still listed for ₺39,999 on the Media Markt website, with an extended warranty price of ₺5,499. However, the store is only offering me a gift card worth ₺6,402, the original sale price from four years ago. I am requesting that my refrigerator be repaired under the insurance coverage. I want my refrigerator repaired, as covered by insurance, yet they are offering me a gift card worth ₺6,402 to buy a new product. What is the point of insurance? Either repair my product, replace it, or provide a gift card equivalent to the current product value. If I accept the gift card, I will still need to buy a new refrigerator. If my issue is not resolved, I will pursue my legal rights with the Consumer Arbitration Board and a mediator, and I will never shop at Media Markt again. The damage was not due to user error. If BNP Paribas Cardif is a reputable insurance company, they should carry out the repair of my product.
Dear Customer, Regarding your request, you were contacted via phone on 05.11.2024. We wish you a happy day. Sincerely, BNP PARIBAS CARDIF INSURANCE A.S.

I paid an insurance fee of 800 TL for the product in 2021. Currently, you are selling the same service for 7499 TL on Media Markt's current page. The customer is not responsible for the country's inflation. The insurance company should cover the product's damage and repair. You are creating an obstacle over the phone by claiming that the product's value in 2021 is less than the current repair cost. The current product value is 40,000 TL, and I bought it for 6400 TL back then, so you should cover the repair cost. But you do not accept this.
