I purchased a pair of Asics sneakers, trusting the brand’s reputation and paying a premium price for what I believed would be a durable product. Unfortunately, despite wearing them only occasionally, the toe area developed a tear far too quickly.
I sent the shoes in for inspection, fully expecting the issue to be treated as a manufacturing defect—but the result came back stating it wasn’t a production issue. That decision makes no sense. I didn’t misuse the product, didn’t wear it excessively, and took good care of it. The damage occurred under very light, normal use, and yet Asics is refusing to take responsibility.
I’m incredibly disappointed. This is the first time I’ve ever had to file a complaint about a shoe, and I truly didn’t expect it to be with a brand like Asics. When we spend this much, we expect quality and customer care—not rejection and silence.
Asics, I’m asking you to reconsider this decision and take accountability. Either offer a replacement, repair, or refund. Don’t let loyal customers walk away with a bad experience over a defect that clearly isn’t their fault.
