Arçelik Refrigerator Model 274581 EB Stopped Cooling
In May 2022, I purchased the refrigerator model 274581 EB and used it without any issues until November 2023. One morning in November, I noticed that both the upper and lower parts of the refrigerator were no longer providing cooling, resulting in many of my food items spoiling. After unplugging and re-plugging the refrigerator, it started working again. Since the problem seemed temporarily resolved, I continued without opening an official service ticket.
However, the same issue recurred shortly afterward. Subsequently, I initiated a service request. The authorized Arçelik service could not identify any defects in the refrigerator but suggested that the problem might be related to the mainboard. Despite their proposal to replace the mainboard, I declined and instead requested a complete replacement of the appliance.
They promised to place a thermometer in the refrigerator to assess its cooling performance. After placing the thermometers and retrieving them approximately three days later, the technical service contacted me again. They observed discrepancies but subsequently ruled out a replacement. In November 2023, the same refrigerator issue occurred once more.
A technician inspected the device due to my renewed service request. He found that the inverter board and the motor control board were emitting low frequencies and occasionally failing to start the motor. Therefore, he recommended replacing these two components.
I stated that, due to the initial fault, I would not agree to renew the inverter board and motor control board, which are only a year old. Instead, I requested the replacement of the entire refrigerator with an equivalent model. The technician insisted on being able to perform only a partial replacement. Despite multiple attempts to enforce the replacement, the service persistently refuses to comply. The unavailability of my refrigerator during this time has significantly inconvenienced me.
I am dissatisfied with the service and receiving inadequate support from customer service. Therefore, I demand the replacement of my refrigerator with an equivalent model. Arçelik has greatly disappointed me in this situation.
