On May 10, 2024, I purchased a smartphone from Amazon.com.tr. As a Prime member, I expected the package to be delivered to a pick-up point the next day. However, I still haven't received any reliable information about my shipment, and it's now the 17th.
Amazon customer service claimed they had spoken to the courier company and that the package was marked as delivered but hadn't been scanned into the system. They assured me that I would receive an email or SMS update by the end of the day. I insisted that they update the status immediately, as it should be a quick process. Instead, they gave me vague assurances that it would be updated later in the day.
Trusting their promise, I ended the call. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service, especially since I'm paying a monthly fee for Prime membership but not receiving the promised benefits. I expressed my frustration and asked for my issue to be resolved, but they offered me a laughable ₺50 coupon for future purchases. This is unacceptable—₺50 doesn't even cover the cost of a soda these days.
I called again the next day, as the issue was still unresolved. I received the same excuses about the courier company. I demanded that either they provide the service I'm paying for or refund my money. When I requested a copy of the complaint they supposedly filed on my behalf, they refused to send it to me. This lack of transparency is concerning.
It seems that every company entering the Turkish market quickly adapts to a system that disregards customer satisfaction. The last suggestion from Amazon was for me to personally go and pick up the package with my ID, despite their system showing it as undelivered. When I pointed out that this was not a proper solution, they hung up on me, saying they couldn't provide any further assistance.
Amazon, this is not the level of service I expect as a paying Prime member. Please address this issue and ensure that customers receive the service they are promised.
