Amazon Did Not Provide Accurate Information
I am writing to express my complaint about a product that we ordered as an Amazon Prime member on September 3, misinformation about the delivery date, and an unfortunate process that lasted almost a week and did not suit your brand name, which disappointed a 6-year-old girl. We ordered the Barbie Dream House toy from my husband’s Prime account on September 3, due to the price advantage compared to stores and Amazon’s service, which we were satisfied with from our previous experiences. September 4th delivery was visible for Prime members. Since it was her birthday on September 4th, we ordered immediately, The product from “Kolay Gelsin” cargo company with tracking ID BA8002399 did not arrive on September 4, and we did not receive any feedback about it. When we questioned the reason, we were told that it was on the way, and as WE called, the delivery days were revised from the system to 5 September, 6 September, and 8 September. My daughter waited every day for the toy we told her would come, because the system told us it would come too, and we trusted the system, actually AMAZON. Finally, we canceled our order on September 9 and went to the store and bought the same product. Not only did Amazon cause us financial loss, but most importantly, in my opinion, it gave us an inaccurate and non-transparent process regarding the delivery of the product that did not suit its brand image and promises. Not only that but no apology or information update actions were taken by Amazon. I am surprised because on Amazon’s website, they shared “customer obsession focus” ve “commitment to operational excellence” as their principles. We could not see those principles with this experience. Amazon may be outsourcing its cargo service, this problem may be caused by the cargo service, but we expect a brand like Amazon to be able to demonstrate its customer-oriented approach at every stage of the supply chain, as promised on its website. It may be a wrong entry, it may have misdirected us, but they could send it via phone, SMS, e-mail, etc. My 6-year-old daughter's opinion about Amazon is this; “Amazon did not provide accurate information about my toy and did not apologize to us, they managed a very bad delivery process. This does not seem to me to be adopting the "long-term thinking" principle as shared on websites. I think that such big brands have great responsibilities towards their customers. Hoping that the processes are managed in a more transparent, accurate, and customer-focused manner
