I booked a stay through Airbnb for Sare Beach Hotel in Antalya, scheduled from July 31 to August 5. The total cost of the booking was clearly listed as ₺11,600. However, when I checked my credit card statement, I was shocked to see that ₺12,223 had been charged instead—₺623 more than the agreed-upon amount.
The charge appears under the reference number HM8WEN2FM9, and I have no explanation or justification for this excess amount. I did not receive any notice, breakdown, or consent request from Airbnb regarding this difference.
This is completely unacceptable. If the platform displays one price, then only that amount should be charged, not a higher one. This kind of hidden overcharging damages consumer trust and violates transparent pricing principles.
I request the ₺623 overcharge be refunded immediately. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with Turkey’s Consumer Rights Authority.
Airbnb must take accountability and correct this discrepancy without delay.
