On July 12, 2024, I inquired about the availability of a rental property through Airbnb, and simultaneously, ₺18,242.83 was withdrawn from my bank account. The host didn’t respond within 24 hours, so the reservation was canceled, but I never received a refund. I contacted Airbnb on July 13, and they claimed the money was just blocked, not charged, and would be released soon. After a week with no refund, I reached out again and was told to wait 15 business days. Even after this period passed, I still didn’t get my money back. I contacted them again on August 2, and they said, “Oops, we hadn’t released it yet.” But still, nothing happened. Despite multiple calls and messages, they kept insisting it was my bank's issue, but my bank confirmed the money was withdrawn, not just blocked. It's now August 19, and I still haven't received a refund. Airbnb’s customer service is frustrating, unhelpful, and only repeats scripted responses. I deeply regret using their platform.
