On April 16, 2025, while trying to add a new payment method to my Airbnb account, the system rejected my card multiple times. I tried two or three more times, thinking it was just a temporary error. But then I noticed that $3 had been withdrawn from my card for each attempt—despite no booking being made and no successful verification.
These charges were completely unauthorized, and none of them have been refunded. I tried reaching out to Airbnb customer support, but it seems like getting a response takes forever. The lack of immediate assistance is frustrating, especially when it’s about money being taken without explanation.
Airbnb, I demand the return of the ₺ equivalent of these charges immediately. If this is part of a verification process, you need to be transparent—and if it’s an error, fix it now. I didn’t make any reservation, and I shouldn't be charged for simply attempting to update my payment info.
