No Notice About My Air Asia Flight Changes
I booked an Air Asia flight under the reference code GFY6NQ, departing from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 in the Philippines on July 31, 2026. My original destination was Hong Kong, and I arranged my work and schedule based on this route. When I arrived at the airport, I was shocked to find out that the plane was actually arriving in Macau instead of Hong Kong. I did not receive any notice, email, SMS, or other communication from Air Asia about this change before I went to the airport. This unexpected change of destination without any prior information caused serious disturbance and hassle for my work and personal schedule. I went to the airport prepared to travel to Hong Kong, and only there did I discover that the destination had been changed to Macau. I request a clear explanation of why this change from Hong Kong to Macau was made without informing me in advance, and I also request appropriate compensation or support for the inconvenience and disruption this caused to my schedule.
