Flydubai Flight Canceled, Airline and Agency Blame Each Other
My Minsk–Penang flight dated January 8, 2026, ticket number fz 1634 operated by Flydubai, was canceled by the airline despite there being no fault on my part. I paid approximately $685 for this flight, and after the cancellation, I was neither offered a replacement ticket nor refunded the amount I paid.
As a result of the flight cancellation, my entire travel plan fell apart. I had a one-night hotel reservation in Penang on January 10, 2026, a Penang–Kuala Lumpur flight scheduled through January 11, 2026, two nights of hotel accommodation in Kuala Lumpur, and a Kuala Lumpur–Istanbul flight purchased with AirAsia. All of these arrangements were completely wasted due to the canceled Flydubai flight, and none of these costs were compensated.
After the cancellation, I contacted Flydubai and was directed to the travel agency, where I was told to speak with Airpaz. When I contacted Airpaz, they stated that they were not handling this issue and that I needed to contact Flydubai. Both parties shifted responsibility to each other and left me without any resolution. I was not provided with any concrete solution or a clear, written explanation.
Despite having done nothing wrong, both the cost of my ticket and the additional expenses I incurred for hotels and connecting flights have been lost. I am requesting a clear and written explanation for why my flight was canceled, a full refund of the ticket price paid—either by Flydubai or Airpaz—and compensation for the hotel bookings and connecting flights that were lost due to this cancellation.
