I booked a room at Blueway Hotel Residence in Şişli, Istanbul through the Trivago app, and the reservation was processed via Agoda. Everything seemed fine until I showed up at the hotel—only to be told that they wouldn’t honor my booking due to a so-called “system error.”
The hotel refused to let me check in and offered no assistance or alternative solution. Even worse, I didn’t receive a refund. I paid in full, showed up with a confirmed reservation, and still ended up without a room or my money.
This is completely unacceptable. I don’t care if the error came from Agoda, Trivago, or the hotel—someone must take responsibility and resolve this immediately. I demand a full refund and an apology for the stress and inconvenience caused. No traveler should be treated this way after making a confirmed booking.
