After Family Vacation, Agoda's Lingering Preauthorization Costs Money

My family vacation, concluded smoothly 10 days ago, continues to burden me financially. Agoda has left the preauthorization open and refuses to finalize it, deducting money from my card whenever there's a balance.

Contacting a representative named Mr. C*** in Turkey, I explained my situation via email. Although they assured me it would be resolved, my issue persists. Despite multiple emails, no resolution has been reached.

I won't shop with Agoda again. I seem to owe as much as the vacation cost, even though I don't use a credit card and prepaid in advance. How can a preauthorization on a debit card be applied and left open to disadvantage someone? This goes against laws and logic. I won't hesitate to take legal action.

Unable to pay my bills and impacted during my overseas trip due to the lingering preauthorization, I incurred additional hotel and flight expenses. I had to convert every financial transaction discussed into foreign currencies, amounting to thousands of dollars. I will reclaim everything and file for damages.

Customer service still claims not to understand my concern. It shouldn't be so difficult to grasp that preauthorizations in both English and Turkish mean the same. Their quiet response is incredibly frustrating, as if they're experiencing the issue for the first time. It's a shame that tourism companies without Turkish representatives are allowed. I will officially launch a campaign; they are making a mockery of us.
