My Adidas Runfalcon 5 Shoes Caused Severe Foot Pain and Bruising

We purchased a pair of black Adidas Runfalcon 5 short-distance road running shoes for women from In Street. As soon as we started wearing them, they began hurting the foot immediately. We initially assumed it might just be a matter of breaking them in, so we gave it another couple of tries—but it only got worse.
The shoes caused extreme pain, hitting directly against the bone, bruising the toes, and making it impossible to walk. My foot was in such bad shape I couldn’t wear the shoes at all. We went back to return them and were told they would need to go through an inspection process.
Today, I received an SMS saying that the product was found to have “no defects” and that the return was denied. How is it possible that shoes causing this much physical discomfort are considered faultless?
We spent a significant amount of money and didn’t even get to wear them properly. Now we’re left with a pair of shoes we can’t use, and no resolution in sight.
