Adidas.com Purchase Gone Wrong: Defective Shoes and Unfair Exchange Terms

I ordered a pair of Adidas adi2000 shoes from Adidas.com, and when they got wet, I discovered they had obvious paint touch-ups. What puzzled me was that I purchased these shoes directly from the website, with no intermediary, and yet they were defective. When I contacted customer service, I was advised to send the shoes in for warranty inspection. They assured me that if the shoes were indeed defective, I would receive a refund. However, due to our country's hyperinflation, these shoes, which I purchased a few months ago at an exorbitant price of around 2500 TL in installments, now cost nearly double. Instead of a simple 1:1 exchange, they expect me to pay an additional 2500 TL on top of the original purchase price for a new pair. I am requesting a fair exchange for the defective shoes.
