Addcar Canceled My Reservation and Failed to Refund Advance Payment
On August 31, 2025, I rented a Renault Clio through the Vip Cars app from a supplier called Addcar and paid a $22 deposit (Reservation code: G35804522). When I arrived at Bodrum-Milas Airport, there was no supplier office and no representative to meet me. With the help of another company at the airport, I was finally able to contact the supplier. A woman who came on behalf of the supplier behaved unprofessionally and asked me to sign the paperwork at a café. When I asked to review the documents before signing, she refused, saying I needed to trust her and that she would not deliver the car otherwise. Since I declined to sign without reviewing the documents, she said she was canceling the rental and left.
When I later contacted the rental company, I found them unwilling to assist, apparently because the supplier is a foreign company. In addition, the supplier made a false statement claiming that the vehicle was not delivered because I refused to pay the deposit. In reality, I arrived at the airport late at night with my wife and three young children and had agreed to pay the deposit. I only requested to review the documents before signing. Throughout this process, I was left stranded, and the $22 deposit I paid has not been refunded.
My primary expectation is a refund of the advance payment I made. I also request that necessary measures be taken to ensure that neither I nor other customers experience similar issues in the future.
