Academia.edu Subscription Not Clearly Disclosed Before Charging

About two months ago, I started a Premium membership on Academia.edu for a small fee. However, the system was set up in a way that did not clearly and transparently disclose that I would later be charged a Premium membership fee of $94.

On March 27, 2026, $94 was charged to my credit card without my approval and without any clear notification. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted Academia.edu via email, but I have not received any response so far.

I do not accept this hidden and non-transparent billing that was carried out without my knowledge or explicit consent. I am requesting an immediate refund of the $94 charged to my card and the cancellation of my Premium membership.
